I'm a frequent visitor to preserved/heritage railways, here in the UK. Is there anyone else who also likes to visit them? Personally I like to travel behind heritage diesels. What about yourselves?

Nice one marchhare. Yes me too but I like to go further back in time when heritage meant things that go chuff-chuff, although I do have a soft spot for some of the first generation smelly things - er I mean diesels.

Diesels built in the 1950s / 60s surely count as heritage!

I remember seeing a few steam trains passing my local station from time to time, They do special tours coming up to Christmas with a nice meal chucked in too! Although the booze train is something id be more willing to participate in!
